- Instructor information: name, email, institution, course details provided during instructor access requests.
- Student accounts: name and email if accounts are provisioned for class access (set by the instructor or institution).
- Usage & telemetry: log data (IP address, browser type, timestamps) and in‑app events required to operate simulations.
- Cookies: essential cookies for session management; analytics cookies when enabled.
How we use information
- Provide and administer the simulations, leaderboards, and class runs.
- Generate time‑stamped datasets, charts, and reports for debriefs and assessment.
- Support instructors and respond to requests.
- Improve performance and reliability of the service.
- Send service emails (account/verification, important product notices). You can opt out of non‑essential updates.
Legal bases / children
We process data to fulfill our contract with your institution or with you (instructors), and for our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable service. SimArenas is designed for higher education and is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region).
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform (e.g., hosting, analytics) under contractual confidentiality and security obligations, or when required by law.
Data retention
Course‑related data is typically retained for the duration of the term and a reasonable period thereafter for assessment and audit. You may request deletion of your account or class data via the contact below, subject to institutional requirements.
