Terms of Service

Acceptance

By accessing or using SimArenas, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an institution, you represent that you are authorized to bind that institution.

Accounts & eligibility

Instructor access requires verification. The service is designed for higher education; you must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your region).

License and restrictions

• We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the simulations for classroom and educational use during the term.
• Teaching notes, case packets, and debrief materials are provided to verified instructors for classroom use only and may not be redistributed or published.
• You may not reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works from the software or content, except as permitted by law.

Student data and AoL artifacts

Time‑stamped datasets, decision logs, and leaderboards are produced for class use and assessment. Instructors are responsible for using these materials in accordance with their institution’s policies.

Payments

If per‑student fees are charged, they are set and billed as agreed with you or your institution. Taxes, if any, are your responsibility unless otherwise stated.

Availability and changes

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with notice when reasonable.

Intellectual property

The software, simulations, and site content are owned by Sim Arenas or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Acceptable use

• No unlawful, infringing, or abusive use of the service.
• No attempts to access other classes or data without authorization.
• No automated scraping of teaching materials or datasets.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sim Arenas disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages. In all cases, our aggregate liability is limited to amounts paid to Sim Arenas in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict of laws.
